Alex adopted me a number of years ago. He actually belonged to the neighbor on the east side of me, yet spent hours hanging
out with his kitty friends that lived with my neighbors to the west. He traveled through my yard going back and forth between
home and friends.

At that time I had been laid off at work and was spending more time in my home office and patio area. Alex began spending more and more time on one of my Adirondack chairs, during which we had great conversations. He is very vocal and expressive. He also started to follow me into the house. He was unbelievably well mannered. I set out a water bowl for him. I was also rather allergic to him.

An allergy prescription and a year later, I set out a food bowl. I still cannot keep Alex in the house overnight (swollen yucky eyes and congestion issues). Yet he knows that he is welcome to join his kitty friends next door in a comfy kitty igloo in the kitties’ house. It’s a perfect arrangement.

BIZARRE BIZARRE ACTIONS

I watched the most bizarre scenario
play out from my patio last evening...
My long time neighbors returned home
from their vacation
(see earlier posts – aggressive daughter-in-law [dil]).
Nothing odd about that,
however
they came in through their back gate…
Let me correct that
to snuck in – literally!
It was tip toe silent!
ODD ODD ODD!!!

I had been weeding in my front yard last evening
when their car approached
but instead of parking the car at the front of the house...
as they always do,
dil drove them around to the alley.
Then the silliness occurred...
sneaking into their own yard,
I feel my old friend needs to be evaluated
due to the great stress of her
sweet husband’s Alzheimer’s condition…
her behavior has become more disturbing
over the past 5 or so months!

I suspect from her actions...
that dil has convinced her
to keep me from seeing
my sweet pet Alex the kitty.

Is there no common sense or humanity left in her?
I am sooooo sad that ‘mean girls’ actions
are keeping me separated
from my much loved and missed pet!!!
